Your first study session

What to expect the first time you sit down with Ellen.

Open a chat with + New → Ellen chat, or hit New chat from Home. Then tell Ellen what you're working on and when it's due — that's genuinely the best opening move.

Expect to do the thinking

Ellen asks before she tells. She'll check what you already understand before explaining, give hints before answers, and push back when your reasoning is thin. If you came for a quick answer, it'll feel slower than a chatbot — on purpose. The struggle is where the learning happens, and she keeps it at a level you can handle.

What can happen mid-conversation

Ask and Ellen can build things right in the chat — a quiz, a flashcard deck, a worked example, a study plan. They appear as cards you can open on the spot, and they're saved to your Library for later.

A good first message

Give her context: the course, the assignment, what you've tried, and where you're stuck. The more specific you are, the better she teaches.
